The Power and Practice of Image Part 2

As proposed last Thursday, we are planning a further exploration of personal and collective images or archetypes both as a means of knowing yourself as well as of getting perspective of the world/culture that you inhabit.

It is interesting to note what comes in the wake of the decision or choice, seemingly randomly, but, of course, always connected. The Nordic/Rune concept of "the Wyrd" points to the deeper connections playing out in life which in modern English has become "weird". Anyway, on "the scary image" wyrd/weird side, Madeleine L'Engle's "It" (from "A Wrinkle in Time") and "Armageddon" (from Bill Maher's documentary movie "Religulosity") have both resurfaced for us since last Thursday, as well as, I'm happy to say, some more moving and inpiring symbols.

One way or another, we shall work with whatever images, archetypes and symbols we collectively bring to the group to explore and contemplate
